VADGVSP Nyas, Nashik is working under the inspiration of VHP. Various services are run in Nashik district through this trust. These services are conducted with the aim of achieving social, economic and educational progress through constructive work for the weaker sections of the society. In that too, more focus has been given to the overall development of the remote area by considering the forest-dwelling area as the focal point. The services, beneficiaries, and other details provided by VHP Nashik district are as follows:
The main goal of this Trust is 'the upliftment' of the adivasis in the remote areas of the Nashik District and to bring them in the main stream of the society. It also aims at all round development of the socially and economically deprived tribal population and to help them to realize their potentials and live in harmony with their environment. Through various development programmes, the tribal's are helped to acquire skill relevant to modern times so as to help them to stand on their own. Such self-sufficiency will create in them a sense of self-esteem.
Our target is younger generation who will be more receptive to the new ideas and through them later the entire community will be educated and benefited.
Health-care is one of the spheres in which the Trust works. The people in this area are not cautious about their health-problems. One of the reason is that they cannot afford for it. Medical check-up camps organized by the Trust have proved a boon and timely medical treatment can be extended to them.
We are also working for social awareness of the people in this area. We inculcate through the social gatherings to give up the superstitions etc. We also inculcate the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in them. This helps them to become socially aware and practical.
A Girls Hostel (Kanya Chhatralaya, intake 110 girls) at Harsul, Tal - Trimbakeshwar, Dist - Nashik is running since 1982. Till now more than 1200 girl students are benefited and they are working in different fields and also discharging their role as an Ideal Mother. The trust has constructed well equipped building having two separate sections i.e residential building and other one is kitchen, dining hall & multipurpose hall. Constructed area 8000 sq.feet.
The Boy's Hostel at Ghoti (intake 50) is running since last 32 years. The students from this hostel are now working in different establishments and some of them are officers also. They have not forgotten their community and are working for the betterment of it. The trust has constructed the first floor (4000 sq.ft). It will facilitate us to enroll more needy and financially backward students from the remote adivasi area that will enable us to extend education facilities for them. The work is completed last year and now in use.
At Gangapur, College students Boys Hostel had facilitated an opportunity to the financially needy adivasi students to complete their graduation or post-graduation. Till now more than 150 students are benefited.
A Girls Hostel at Makhmalabad, Nashik started by the trust since 2017, meant for the girls who wish to continue their education after passing Xth exam. We select the girls coming from financially backward families from Vanvasi area. They reside in the hostel and take college education. From the very poor family girls, we do not charge any fees. Today 30 girls are there who either take their college education or undergoing other commercial courses. A well equipped precious building is constructed for this hostel. The expenditure of this project is meted out of donations, both in cash and kind.
The Vocational Training Center at Ghoti - Computer Training Center for Ladies. Near about 30 Girls / Ladies are taking benefit of computer training which is useful for day to day life. Basic Computer Knowledge, MS-CIT, TALLY etc courses are taught but trust.
The Vocational Training Center at Harsul has benefited the young generation in this area. Many students mostly women, after passing the Tailoring Course are earning their livelihood in their respective villages. Recently, the computer training is extended to the girls in our Kanya Chhatralaya, Harsul.
The Mobile Dispensary with the co-operation of Ayurved Seva Sangh, Nashik has extended on the spot medical facilities to the patients in remote villages of this hilly region. Since past 8 years we provide Free Medical Service to the Pilgrims of Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj Vari starting from Trimbakeshwar to Pandharpur. Near about 15000 to 20000/- warkaries (pilgrims) are benefited every year.
The Community Development Project run by this Trust at Bardipada has helped to bring a radical change in the village as well as villagers.
The programmes like Mandir Nirman, Bhajani Mandal, Adarsh Gram Yojana and Satsang made the localities socially aware and they feel a sense of 'oneness' among them.
